2019-2020 Season Highlights
Welcome to our 6th season of classical chamber music concerts! We are excited to continue our partnership with Clear Lake United Methodist Church in offering these free concerts to the community. We also just recently hosted the second annual Bay Area Chamber Music Festival in partnership with the Bay Area Youth Symphony, and it was a huge success. We are grateful for the support and passion for chamber music and music education in general in the Clear Lake area.
As tradition, we are offering four concerts this season - “Mendelssohn Quintet” in September, “Bartok and Brahms” in November, “Life and Death” in February, and “Serenade for Strings” in May. Program highlights include Mendelssohn String Quintet No. 2, a collaboration with clarinetist Roberto de Guzman in Brahms’ Clarinet Quintet, collaborations with the Clear Creek High School Chamber Singers and the Bay Area Youth Singers, and performances by the winners of the 2020 Bay Area Youth Symphony Chamber Music Competition. There is definitely something for everyone on each of our concerts, we encourage you to try and make as many as you can!
We are grateful for the musicians who offer their time and talent to make these concerts possible. They are all professional musicians and teachers in the Houston area.
Again, I welcome you to an exciting season of concerts and we hope to see you at our season opener on September 27!
