Bay Area Chamber Music Festival
Clear Lake Chamber Ensemble (CLCE) and the Bay Area Youth Symphony (BAYS) are partnering to sponsor an exciting summer opportunity for developing string students. The first annual Bay Area Chamber Music Festival will be a 5-day camp of intensive chamber music study for young string players ages 6 to graduating seniors. Mr. Brandon Cornett, CLCE Artistic Director, is Festival Coordinator and ensemble coaches will consist of area orchestra directors and private string teachers. The festival will take place July 30 – August 3 and run from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm each day with a closing recital that Friday night. All events will take place at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
Please feel free to begin sharing the following link for registration: https://www.bayareayouthsymphony.org/bay-area-chamber-music-festival.
Tuition for the festival is $165 and is due upon registration. Registrants and pre-formed groups are encouraged to apply as early as possible during the enrollment period as spots are offered on a first-come first-served basis. Students will need to submit a visual recording when applying so that we can easily match them with an appropriate, yet challenging, ensemble.
We appreciate your efforts in advertising and promoting our festival. We believe that chamber music is an important component in string education and is vital to the growth of any musician.
Please forward any questions you might have about the festival to Brandon Cornett at firstname.lastname@example.org.
